There are no breaking news at this time on the German boards!
by Orchardhof on 21 November 2009 - 14:11

I just sent Jantie a private email to see what's going on.
by Louise M. Penery on 21 November 2009 - 18:11
Jan replied to my email and said that the thread shows up on his computer in Europe!
My name shows up when I replied to his thread but no reply is visible on my computer. Wonder if he is able to read our replies?

This is to answer the PM's I got.
I offer my appologies to this community if the thread did not work properly at first. I had posted a message, and as (from what I hear) it did not show, I had to repeat that in a different way. I could see it myself though, the whole time, so I didn't think there was a problem. Sorry folks!
Silbersee said there "IS NO (breaking) NEWS"!
I'm afraid you're wrong again Chris!
There is a LOT of news, only, people do not want to spread it.
That was my point exactly. With the post I mean.
You have all seen "Fawlty Towers", have you not? And you understand the metaphore I used? "Don't mention the War!"
Everybody knows about the attrocities committed, but don't tell it out loud, we do not want to disturb the Germans or to offend them.
Anyway! People on German discussion boards apparently are chitchatting about what to wear, which is unimportant, but what the heck, let people do as they please, but things have been moving rapidly in SV-Germany. And that's were it gets disturbing. When things can NOT be discussed in public, when topics are only whispered about behind the curtains, that's when it starts itching. I tought it was a free and democratic world, and the (paying) public (SV-members) has a right to know what is going on. But what do you know. I can keep my mouth shut too. Eventually we will all hear about it.
After private e-mail, telling me this also didn't work, I have to post again.
(Now this post is also visible from my computer. I don't know why some of the people cannot read my posts, but I will post the initial one again underneath, in anoher message. Sorry for the problems!)

Have I got News for you! (Breaking News on German Discussion Boards.)
People often ask me what people talk about in Germany, and how things are moving at the center of the GSD. And yes, it’s always interesting to see beyond one’s own nose and have a look at what people on other discussion boards talk about. Let’s tear down this wall of language barriers and find out!
One of the well known discussion boards in the homeland of the GSD is currently ranking the following priorities in “The Lobby”: (topics that move the GSD-fan most today)

Hundeführerjacke Good Boy gesehen auf der BSP
(Doghandlerjacket „Good Boy“ spotted at the BSP)
“Hello,
I have seen a winter jacket at the BSP (at the stand in front of the Obedience-pitch). That jacket was manufactured by “Good Boy” and was referred to as being "The ultimate Doghandlerjacket".
Has anyone got this jacket, and can you comment on it????
What’s the quality after approx. 10 washes ???
How tight are the seams after 3 hours of rain???
What are the ladies’ sizes like???”
Tuckland Cave Schuhe
“Hello,
can anyone tell me where I can get those Tuckland Cave Shoes?”
Grüne Bälle
What do you think it’s about?
It’s about green balls of course! Study your German!!
So this is what the common GSD-fans in Germany discuss about in Germany!?
It’s your everyday stuff really.
What am I gonna wear today?
What boots shall I take?
And what color of ball will I take for my four legged friend?
Somebody had started a topic that might result in passionate arguments:
BBC Documentary - Pedigree Dogs Exposed
But it relapsed in silence.
I can hear John Cleese/Basil Fawlty say: “Don’t mention the war!”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess I will refrain from posting anything. It must be quite confusing for the readers. Especially when threads come in the wrong order. I'm sorry!

Funny, Jantie! Easy to translate the site into English by clicking on the flag of Englan.

Thanks for posting that again Jan, I couldn’t see the other one either and please do not refrain from posting. It would seem that trivia is more important than the health and future of the dogs in some quarters. We get the same over here too (UK). Disgraceful and very disappointing…

I tried changing it to English but it doesn’t seem to work…maybe one has to register???
