I just wanted to say I have known Tammy for 2 years since I bought a wonderful pup from her. She has been honest and upfront with me. She has always gone above and beyond what I have asked her to do. She always shares her extensive knowledge with me whenever I ask. Although she sometimes does not answer my phone messages or emails right away, she does get back to me and always explains why it was delayed, often because she has been traveling to Germany. I only have good things to say about Tammy and would highly recommend her to anyone. She has helped me tremendously.

I can understand how the experience didn't meet your expectations, however if the breeder offered you a full refund it sounds to me like she's holding up her end of the deal and going a little beyond.  Some people are more into the dogs than the business side of things and she could be one of them.  Although I did note that most of her females aren't titled so maybe not but it's just a thought.  There could be a lot of reasons for not showing you the facilities.

First, most small breeders don't have extensive, fancy facilities but as long as they're clean and well maintained that's what's important.  My pups are whelped in my laundry room - I only have one litter at a time so it works for me and I prefer having young pups right in the house where I can hear everything that goes on.  It doesn't mean my pups are any lower quality than someone else's.  There's actually a large kennel in our state which has very fancy, impressive facilities - charges a very large amount and has some of the crappiest dogs I've ever seen! Also, if she has a young litter then it's appropriate not to allow strangers around them.  Or she could have a bitch about to whelp who she doesn't want stressed, or any other number of issues.  If it was a big concern for you then you should have asked while you were there and heard what her answer was. If you're not going to be happy w/the pup I'd take the refund offer and do a little more research the next time.

have known tammy at clearcreek bauernhof kennel for several years.  we have done business together, and referred puppy clients to each other.  never had an issue or complaint about our arrangements.  recently i  referred a co-worker to her for a pup, and the family is very happy with the puppy and their experience with tammy.

i would do business with her any day, her dogs are well cared for, and i count her as a friend!

"We just do not have a contract hip/health warranty or shot record."

No problem!  Geez.

Ok, you have the papers on the dog, right?  She's healthy now and you own her free and clear with full registration.  That's great! Why are you complaining?  You say the dog is quality and well-bred.  You own it free and clear with full registration.  At 4mo old I wouldn't worry about the ear too much.  Keep an eye on it.  Hips, well, you'll just have to see.  No shot record or microchip?  Fuhgettaboutit.  Get your own shots and chip.  If the dog is quality and you have full registration with no obligations to the breeder, it's a win for you.

" You purchased a healthy “trained pup” LT was raised in my home, she was crate trained, leash trained, travel trained and socialized. LT could “come, sit, down, sit up, roll over, shake hands, bark on command and I already had her trained to retrieve. LT had a great grip in bite work and was evaluated by a trainer. Do your research Fancier. I have video out on the net of LT and more on my computer."

Cindy (and David H.),

Is this the pup in the video on your training page?  What a little doll barking for the clicker and her treats!

So you keep dancing around the cost of the pup that 'should have cost $2,500.00'...how good a deal did the OP get?

Boy, this seems to be truly "much ado about nothing."  Tess, I am with you! (again).
Just curious why all the angst...

Sticking with the topic, "What Would Do [sic]You Think About This?"   I think it has been a colossally non-productive thread.   Hopefully, you have been more productive since starting this thread.  How has the pup progressed since?
