an NBA player can be suspended from the team for a game, but still be part of the team
a kennel can be suspended (on probation) for 2 years and still be a member of the organizing club........
In all of these scenarios, after the punishment, the entity could come back and change their ways.....I have to say that if this is indeed the case, it would be end up being a good thing for everyone concerned.
