Petsmart has them along with the other pet stores. I also know of a place that sells vinal/latex booties.

I have never used these but I saw them in one of my "pet" mags and they sound like it might be the kind of thing just to keep her foot clean and dry.  Here is the link  pawzdogboots.com/

Good luck, I hope she heals quickly

I've had more luck with the second boots as far as comfort. Petsmart boots.

Most dog boots tend to slip around and the sole ends up on top and the top ends up being the sole....expeciall in the front feet. So having a plastic sole didn't matter at all for us. If you can find some boots that are made of soft, yet durable material it seems to work best. I'd love to see them made out of kevlar!

The size is very important, bring your dog and a tapemeasure with you.

Bob-
This site has a really great pair of boots:    www.things4yourdog.com      Ultimate Dog Boot

Look under the search and rescue dog gear link on the sidebar. These are easy to put on, and they don't slip down the leg.

I tried the ultimate dog boot, Mattie had trouble getting used the them, I think because they were so long. Plus in Texas they were just too hot for her on a hike. She high stepped the whole time she wore them and when she walked through a stream they flooded......best for snowy weather......The positive is they are very visible and its easy to see if on is thrown. Unlike smaller black boots.

We've gone through about a 9 different pairs of boots in her life...

It could work on one foot during convalescents.

There are positives and negatives on all of them.

Contact a sled dog equipment manufacturer.  The have a nice soft bootie that works well, you can either get fleece or nylon.  when Barbie injured her foot  we used a bandage (whole pad missing), vet wrap, and a sock taped at the top.  when she had to go outside and it was damp we put the nylon bootie over the top.  When we had to re-certify narc at the coast in the rain we added a layer of platic wrap and as soon as she was finished we removed it and changed dressings.

if a more durable long term boot is needed I highly recommend the grip trex boot by ruff wear.  you can get better prices on ebay.  I like them for the stickers around here, we have a nasty one called a goat head that grows in a very large mat.  Nothing like watching the disappointed expression of the driver who has drugs in their car when they see Barbie in her boots.  They pretty much protectect against everything, stickers, glass, sharp rocks.

Try a place called NeoPaws, they have a very good selection of boots and shoes for all kinds of outdoor activities, also have items for special needs.
