I met a woman that moved here from German and gave me permission to use her maiden name which was Boeselager. I liked it, so it stuck ;-)

When I lived in Indianapolis there was a lovely, clean, reservoir where I swam all of my dogs-----Eagle Creek Reservoir.  Adler---Eagle.    Bach---Creek.  Thus Adlerbach,  Barb

Gouda,  I LOVE your website, especially the song on the home page, who is that?  Love it, but I can't remember.

Do you know Jouke from Jabora?  I see you have a dog from his kennel.

Trish,
I really do believe that you choose " Hass House " thinking you were talking about rabbits - but, and I really hate to destroy your thoughts, " Hass" translatet into english means "hate" ! Sorry, just one "s" to much ! "Hase" is translated from German into english "rabbit" !
My Kennel name is "vom Sankt Martiner Tal ", first because I live in the village of Sankt Martin, second there is a valley (Tal), that is called just that, and thst is my favorite place to walk my dogs.....so, for me it was the best name.

adlerbach,
did you perhaps use the eagle creek dog park also?
by the way the reservoir is not so clean now,it has a bad algae problem.

Trish, I reread your post, you are most certainly wright, if you were refering to your maiden name " Hass", it would have been more apropriate to call your kennel "vom Haus Hass". Meaning "from the house of the  Hass Family". But the translation you choose is definetly not the best choice.

To Buckeyefan, yes I loved that park.  Sorry to hear it is not the place to swim one's dogs now.  It was lovely in the past.  I now live in Warsaw, IN, because I train with Randy Rhodes and he was born and raised here.  You can see where my priorities lie for I can work anywhere :-).  I love the country also.  Barb

A friend of mine has Dame Fortune (Šťastena in Slovak),his surname means Fortunate (Šťastný).
I have La cage aux folles which means cage of fools,it´s named after that musical,it´s my favourite one. My husband´s surname means Axe in English (BTW my surname means Maple) so he wanted Axe Blade but somebody in Brussel made a mistake and he has Axe Blady now.
