Don't mean to offend anyone..... my dogs love sweet potatoes with butter and brown sugar
Raw bones....liver, tripe, cottage cheese, chicken backs, and kibble in no certain order....

My dogs love a lot of stuff dose not mean they will get it ;) lol. Dog's are oportunistic animals they can leave almost on anything, going over the top with feeding just dose not add any additional benefit, except that it's owner sleeps better.

WindyHill,
An excellent source of information so that you can make the correct choice for your dogs is:
http://www.dogfoodproject.com/
Definitely read the section titled Label Info 101
The whole web site is very informative and always up to date.
I also agree with the person above that uses Acana. It has worked incredibly well for me with some dogs that had less than ideal stool on other brands. I use the Pacific Salmon Formula.
Snajper69,
It is nice to see you back on here. Your info and humor have been missed!

Thanks I decided to train more and talk less lol ;). This nutrition debate gets on my nerves ;) I tried everything and found out only one thing that I don't know jack sh.......ttt about nutrition, it's my dogs that always tell me what is good and bad, but neverthe less I would never go and feed them garbage, ;) I don't even touch anything that is made by Dimond as they failled way too many time.

I am so sick of crappy commercial food, I am switching to raw.
I can't find a decent dog food for under $60 per 40 lbs bag. That is just too much. I can feed raw food for less than that, so as of tomorrow I am starting mine on raw. Picking up several cases in the AM and already have the supplements I need to add to it (fed them anyhow even with commercial).
So, if you cannot feed raw, at least spend the money and buy a decent commercial dog kibble. If you can't afford that, try raw. It costs the same as a mid grade commercial dog food and is much healthier. I have seen with my own eyes how dogs thrive on it. JMHO

I'm thinking of trying Evo Red Meat.......I've seen a few dogs on it & love the way they look!
Raw is not practical for us...so we use commercial dog food, and supplement with bones & meat.
Anyone tried the Evo??
