yes i am the new owner.
i will post shots of him doing bitework, the video thing i am way behind in technology!
it's hard enough to get someone to take photo's of him doing bitework.i will have to tie him to a pole and take them while he is on the agitator.
(steve hong)
i am doing personal protection with him. i am not one for Sch. too much money and cost of traveling.
i'd rather a real dog that will protect me on the street. not saying most SCH WORKING LINE dogs won't,so please don't turn this into another thread Alix

I know what you mean about taking pictures. But there is: Nothing to critique!
Nice dog.

Bazza why don't you show us a picture of a GSD standing which you have taken,...  alone.

I know the feeling, Annamay..If I want to get a pic of my dog in a stack, I have to do it with positioning, and the stay command.  You did a good job of it.  And I have to say, he has conformation much like Klodo v. Boxberg, which is very old-style, and looks good to me, though I am not an expert in modern conformation.

Good pictures, nice looking dog.  Good job with the single person stack pics!

Here's one of the only successful ones I took of my old GSD, Prince.

It's quite difficult to do a single person stack pic, but if you've taught your dog the stand and stay commands you can get a passable one.  Here's another...

And one more...

So you see, your pics are pretty darn good.  Congratulations on getting an eleven month old dog to do that!

Bazza, why so nasty?  I'm no expert but I didn't think the first stack was too bad.  The second is not the best but geez, must you be so critical?  Even with more than one person, I'm not sure I'd get the best stack but it wouldn't stop me from asking a simple question.  Besides, if you're such and expert yourself, I'd think you'd be able to see past the stack and still give a critique.

Did you ever think maybe some asking are just curious?  I didn't purchase my boy for breeding but wouldn't mind you giving a critique.  I purchased him the day I lost a young dog because I couldn't go home to the empty echoes, needed something to ease the pain.  Not the smartest move I've made but turned out fine.  He's my best bud and has more drive than even I expected.  I have had him in training but due to circumstances, have put it on hold.  I never plan on breeding but would like your opinion on his conformation.  Here is a picture in a natural stack and his best head shot, what do you think?  Honestly.

I like the dog! To me he looks exactly as I would like a gsd to look. Not dramatic angulations, nice big head, good bone and musculature, lean, not too long and not too tall. Really like his head and expression!! Who is breeding dogs like him? I may know of some people interested in a dog with his structure and if he works great even better!! Btw annamay good for you to present this and know the abilities of people's comments. Some post here all the time unfamiliar and are truely hurt by them. You must have been confident in what you see in him and knowledable about the gsd in order to be that brave! ;) Good luck with him what are your plans for him

Thank you for the compliments PatrioticAmanda, I've never had a true critique.  I got him from a breeder in PA whose reputation, I found later, is not the best.  I knew little of pedigrees when I purchased him (not that I know a whole lot now) but like I said, my heart was in pieces at the time.  I actually heard rumors that this man ended up abandoning his dogs in their kennels, which broke my heart.  Although, it was a rumor and I have not been able to contact him so I'm still not sure of the validity of the accusation.  I have searched the internet for dogs abandoned and can't believe it would not have made the news.  I also named him based on personal preference for the full moon (associated with not only my actual name meaning, but my obsession with the moon) and was not aware that there is a kennel bearing the name 'Vollmond" until much later.  Literally translated it's "Full Moon Dragon".  I did not name him to steal anything from Vollmond German Shepherds so don't start bashing me for using someone's kennel name.  Once I found out the kennel existed it was too late, papers had already been sent.  I'm still learning :o)  If I ever get my life straightened out I plan to continue training and attempt to title.  I still never plan on breeding, I'll leave that to the ones who know what they're doing.  This boy went 20,000 miles with me, literally, and I wouldn't sell him for a million.  Where I go, so he goes.

Here is pedigree and yes, he has wonderful drive and a good, natural, full bite.

P.S. I've been told by many working folks who've actually seen him in action that I "lucked out" as far as his drives and bite.
