Just got back from Germany and the WUSV, I do not know what you mean Como vom Bonauer Wald did not score high on Protection Is not 92 points high,
No sour grapes But i can tell you what happened The Dog went round the Hides very fast no problem his bark was strong and overly long i counted 73 barks from that Dog from beginning until his handler was called in that is a long time barking in hold,
On the Escape the Dog hit the sleeve and the handler spun off balance and his arm came round the back of him dog still attached,
The sleeve turned on his arm and the dog had to re adjust his grip. Other than that he was as near perfect as you could get the Long attack was fast and he hit the helper hard the only other thing i did see was the Handler called him twice from the helper back to foot when calling the dog back from guarding
The Helper was at fault or he was to my opinion not strong enough for some of the Dogs,Some of the softer hitting Dogs he could hold but not the real hard attacking dogs like Como
Why do i say this, The same handler in the two days i watched about 10 dogs in those two days got penalized in the escape Two disqualified and i do not believe the dogs were at fault
I will say this when Como had that bad moment on the escape the crowd Booed and whistled at the Helper and they did it full volume the whole stand shouted and booed when it happened, and he was booed many times in the two days i watched
However it happened and nothing can be said about it or needs be any more the result is as it is, no talking can alter it,
The Winner is a worthy winner and when you see only two members in the team that is a fantastic performance The trip home to Israel will be a happy one for those two girls and good luck to them i hope the winner contests the WUSV next year
Last years winner is a great dog again up among the leaders another great Performance
As for Como he is only 3 years old, the WUSV is within his grasp next year and another one after that
As they say in sport you takes the rough with the smooth and gets up to Fight again, I
am very proud of the Belgian team performance, i do not know if they are the Team Winners of the Championship as i had to get home to see to some livestock plus the dogs as i had been away from home since before 5 oclock this morning but the the Lads did us well whatever the outcome

I am around alot of top competitors from time to time. in the states as well as around the world. I have been hearing about como for at least a yr now.SO my expectations for him in protection was extremely high. 92 is a great score for someone like me. The bottom of the barrel Schutzhund folks like myself would be happy just to get to show at the world but for the 3 time world champ his dog is graded to a higher standard. When you are so used to seeing them V all time its hard to accept a average day from them. Its like watching a Basketball Game with Micheal Jordan or Kobe Bryant only scoring 20 points. You just feel a bit cheated. Como is young so he has several more chances to be up there.

We have another Schutzund expert from the USA to tell me how good or bad a dog is and by what you are saying you did not rate Comos Protection, I guess you were at Krefeld to see him work and judged him on what actually passed
Then if so i and the other people watching saw different to what you saw
As for you watching the Best of the USA and sometimes around the World
I too work with some of the Top Belgians week in week out all the year round so i know what i am seeing, It did not work out for him this time but keep a look out for him next time if he is entered,
I must say there is no end to the talents of some of you Guys over there and not enough of us knowing about the sport from this side of the World,
Still be cannot all know what we are talking about can we unless we come from the USA
Thank goodness not all your countrymen in the sport think the same way as some of you Guys
As for you too get scores consistently at 92 if you compete with your dog then you would i expect entered the Trials to qualify for the USA team for if anyone can get a consistent 92 in all three phases then they and there dog is no fool so why did you not enter trials to qualify for your country

for me ,the quality of ronny (and dog) stand , nomatter if he comes in first , fifth or tenth
I was hoping for sharon to win ,she doesnot have the greatest team and opportunities of the world in israel , flew to germany to train several times , nothing but respect
also this could be an eyeopener

Look above at my post to Ceddy, I have already said what a great performance it was from the Girl from Israel, and i did mention this also about teams coming over with one or two entries long before the WUSV even started Yes, it was great for the Young Lady and something she will never forget Yes, she has my respect for the job she has done a wonderful achievement I love to see it
Many Dogs were penalized which is right But not all of it was every dogs fault The Helpers are also to blame they too are and were not perfect
When Como had his problem at the Escape if we can call it a problem
there were three Guys and a Girl from the USA behind me going on there accent. You should have heard them give the Helper some stick
Learn the trade Buddy one said and you need to toughen up, The whole crowd was not happy But it happens and is accepted by the handler and team a part of the sport I still say the helper was not strong enough for some of the dogs it sure looked that way, However he was picked and that has to be accepted
Now i am not going to carry on talking about this one Dog, I can say much about several Dogs i watched including some of the USA team but that would be unfair as they all did what they could on that day they were competing, probably some could have done better on a nother day but we know they only get the one chance The dogs are living things and have days like us as do the handlers a couple for instance like this the dog goes around the hide on protection and over to the next one the handler gives it an arm signal and a verbal one word one
But a couple of handlers were far too in front of there dogs and the dog went around the back of them another was two slow moving up with the dog and it lost its way and missed the hide, it is what happens on the day, and that is in all things

It seems to me I must have hit a sore spot with you. Not only are you upset about the results of WUSV you also have a problem reading and understanding english as well. Please point out where I said I was a expert in schutzhund or any dog sport for that matter? Please also point where i compared how great we are in the states in comparison to "over there".? The Fact is since the Ronny made the team he has been the favorite to win. This thread we are writing on even predicted him to win. Also since you are training with the best in belguim please do all of us on this board a favor and ask them all if they consider 92 at the Wusv scoring well? If you will actually give their honest opinion that is. Now back to the personal attack on me. I may make a Wusv team or even score 92 in protection with my dog ever but does that mean I am not allowed to have high expectations from the best people in our sport? I will never be President of SV but that doesn't stop me for having high expectation for what the president will do for the breed. Simply put I expect a high V scoring in protection from him and it didn't happen. Sorry if my expectation hit a sore spot on you.
