101,
You should try the poop to see what all the fuss is about, maybe its better than you know.
I'll send you some of my brownies to go with the meal.
Moons.

Yes keep her away from the cat box (aka all you can eat buffet table)
And if you take her to the dog parks, as you asked about earlier, there is a smorgasbord of of everything from feces, to vomit to cigarette butts. And probably a whole lot more. Why, your pup may even be able to get a side order of tapeworms, ringworms, parvovirus or even kennel cough!
Good Luck with your puppy

If dog eats his own poop it could be learned behavior but often it is caused by undigested protein. Dog either have slight diarrhea and does not digest her food properly or the food is one of those of high protein "super foods" devoid of live enzymes and the poop still have some protein in it and the pup can smell it there. This may become compulsive thus needs to be discouraged. Natural lightly cooked diet with pasta or rice with meat like chicken quarters, pinch of sea salt and mix in it 2 table spoons of some blended raw vegetables or fruit with parsley (raw apple or carrot).
