Gosh Darn people

She already had the info   I gave it to her and posted the name of the testing procedure last night on the other threads..

She was asking   if any of you used these kinds of proceedures....and is only trying to start a thread about puppies.....Why cannot all of you just tell how you do your puppies from birth to the time they go home...

Environmental Sensitivity Testing is for German shepherds a must..
The link above

If any of you  have done this   share it and quit  jumping down others throats , no matter who or whether you like them or not........I told her not to bother asking any more questions on here/...   and I guess all the other newbies  will learn not to ask either.......
Mahon and I both use these methods and  I told her I would show her how to do them ,,if I make it to her house in time.

I may die before then so it will not hurt any of you to share how you do your puppies stimulation.

YR

I think it was irresponsible yes. Only because you should have been educated and prepared before EVEN thinking about this venture. YOU should have thought long and hard about the who, what, where and why, first. It is not something you should just "wing" or scramble on. What are you going to do if a pup is breach, in distress or any other medical complication. Are you going to be prepared to have milk replacer, bottles, or a vet on hand at a moments notice in the event there is an issue??????????? Seriously, you want to seperate 2 bitches, 1 with pups with a 3 ft. high baby gate..... where is the logic there? You are asking about the hip scores on a dog you have just purchased, did the seller not provide that, will that not explain that to you? Aren't those all things you should have considered having answers to prior to purchasing this dog? You preach that you would not buy an untitled, non hip scored/ofa'd dog and yet you don't even understand what they mean. Please give us all a break from your idiocy.

YR- No one is jumping down her throat but I do very strongly believe she should have educated herself prior to purchasing this dog. It was something that should have been thought long and hard about.

mking...............

My vet of 30 years has already confirmed he will be on stand-by. He has already made an emergency basket for me to pick up 3 weeks before her due date. We have already scheduled a time for me to come for "lessons" so he and a vet tech can go over all the details. He is also planning to come for a house call a few days before the date to check up on everything and to answer any last minute questions........

I have also made arrangements with a long time breeder to attend the whelping. She will be midwife and I will watch and learn. I made these plans before purchasing the dog.

I knew that this bitch had certified hips before I bought her......In her country a dog cannot be be breed surveyed without passing hips. Guess you didn't know that.

This dog is from Slovakia - she has passed their version of hip certificating with an "a".....they don't have a numbered grading system in that country as at the German SV does......

I was quite surprised that a score came up by her name in the stud breeding registry book........I was under the impression that only dogs with SV hips received a grade.......but clearly an (a6) (foreign certified) bitch will get a grade even if she isn't SV registered. How many of you knew this?

All but one of the dogs will be down stairs.....with a baby gate at the first stair. (3' baby gate + 7" step + 3 " clear under baby gate) that makes a 3'-11" barrier and bad footing for the dogs to get over. Plus the same at the top of the stairs - even more difficult......Plus Hanny will be in a remote bedroom with the door closed....... I think I have this one covered.

So now all I have to learn about is little stuff - the height of the walls on the whelping box. I have seen all types of suggestions on box size from a large wire crate to 5'x5' very little on wall height....before my husband starts to build a box this weekend.

And of course, being responsible, I am trying to learn how to best prepare the puppies while during the first few week of their lives...............

"Please give us all a break from your idiocy"  You chose the wrong word ......ignorance would have been more appropriate - dong you think?

Being ignorant, asking questions, searching the net and creating a solid support team to help me every step of the way....and of course learning a great deal.....so I will gain much knowledge a no longer be ignorant......if I didn't do all if these things I would be irrisponsible...........

idiocy utterly senseless or foolish behavior; a stupid or foolish act, statement, etc.

trying to gleen from the experienced people on this data base is not what I would call stupid of foolish.......on second thought maybe it is!

SitasMom - is the bred bitch from Eurosport? I don't know how much help the database is going to be....but just from having looked at the videos on their puppies page, they seem to know what they're doing. Do you think they'd help you out with some info? Since you did get the bitch from them (if I'm correct in thinking that).

"all the links went to the same page.....about choosing a puppy "

Hmmm.  Can somebody else please check the links in my earlier post?  I tried them and they all go to different places - Volhard link to the Volhard tests, etc.  Let me know if anyone else is having the same problem with the links as SitasMom.
