i HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE IN gsd'S NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT BUT I LIKE THE GSD'S I GOT , I KINDA WISH I DID NOT LOOKING BEFORE I GOT MY MALE , BUT NO COMPLAINTS HERE I'M LEARNING AS I GO AND I STILL GET AMAZED BY BOTH MY GSD''S..  MY ENTIRE FAMILY  HAS HAD GSD'S AND I GOT THEM FOR THE FAMILY AND TO PROTECT THE HOME. BUT IN THE FUTURE I WAS TO INVEST IN A GSD WITH A HIGH QULITY BLOOD LINE. ME MY SELF DOES NOT THINK IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE BUT I HAVE TO TRY IT TO JUDGE FOR MY SELF.

COMING FROM PEOPLE I KNOW THAT HAVE GSD'S COMPAIRED TO THIS WEBSITE IS NIGHT AND DAY.BUT I WILL STAY OPEN MINDED AND CONTINUE TO LEARN AND GATHER HELPFUL INFO FOR NOW AND THE FURUTE..

I DID WANT TO BREED MY FEMALE BUT OUT OF RESPECY FOR THE BREED,  I NEED MORE INFO AND KNOW HOW ON THE KINDA OF MALE GSD I WANT TO GET BEFORE I TAKE THAT LEAP OF FAITH...

One of the great things about this board is that so many passionate people from all over the globe come here and share thier interest in the breed.   They may not always agree, and the sheer volume of info. here can be overwhelming for sure!   The knowledge base is definately different than one finds "around the neighborhood."

Heck, in my neighborhood they don't even know that my dog IS a german shepherd half the time.

I don't really see "King" shepherds around here, I don't think they are that popular where I am.  I've seen a few Shilohs though.

Duval-

Pick up The German Shepherd Today by Winifred Gibson Strickland. You will learn a lot! Now if we could just teach you not use the phrase "epic fail"...

KCZAJA,

GOOD LOOKING  OUT, BUT I'M STUCK ON FAIL AND EPIC THIS MONTH... NEXT MONTH WILL BE ANOTHER GREAT PHRASE TO USE. I'LL LOOK FOR THAT BOOK NOW

An acquaintance of mine found a copy of that book and gave it to me for my birthday.  It has a lot of good information, if a bit out of date, but the thing I didn't like was the part where they showed how to stack a dog so that his faults aren't obvious...But I guess that dog showing is like politics.

Anyway, very good infomation there, and if you can find a copy of it, read every page.

"Heck, in my neighborhood they don't even know that my dog IS a german shepherd half the time. "

Here to Heather.  The dog counter just left me a bill for dog tags for one German Shepherd and a Shepherd X.

I think this he meant this one is my Shepherd X  .
 I'm crushed.
