Hello Stacy
i have used it a long time it sticks to the salmon oil and the dogs eat it as if it is not there, all the Dogs i have had todate have been A Normal with Hips etc, and they were fed Hokamix from 9 weeks ols on the morning feed only plus of course the salmon oil Omega 3 and 6, It has never harmed my Dogs and i swear by it as a top Supplement i will look up the link and mail it to you, I am not saying the Hokaamix did it of course it did not, but i think it helped a lot to grow healthy from a Baby to adult hood

Hmmm, I have been hearing so much about TOTW. I may give it a try. My male dog has a pretty sensitive stomach and gets the runs easily, but maybe I will try switching him over really slow and see how he does. He also tends to have somewhat softly formed stools.
Got the link Steve, thanks!

I supplement with Canine Complete and Salmon oil. Really works well.

Thanks everyone (: I have been writing all of these suggestions down and looking into them!

Can you over supplement a dog?

by Samba on 07 September 2009 - 23:09

I supplement with Nupro.  That has kelp in it so if you are a die hard about not enhancing color in any way, then I don't recommend.  All coat colored darkened on it.  If I have a dog who needs an extra  super boost to coat, I also use Omegaderm by Virbac.  I have sold a lot of this for Virbac because of the dog"s coats.  The Omegaderm worked really well on the dog with atopy and the ratio of oils in this particular formula has worked better for mine than simply fish oils.

Franquie, Yes I have heard you can over supplement, but someone with more knowledge will have to come on and tell you exactly which nutrients...

I have also started using TOTW now for about a month now. I  use to feed blue wildernss but stopped because of the high protein content. Both my gsd's are 4 months old and have very soft stools and rarely have regular poops. Is there any type of supplement to add to the food to help, because I think other than the soft stools the food is good. Their coats look great and their bodys are thick and muscular. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
