Yes, I have always enjoyed the impressions and missed them last year. I hope you can find a way to continue writing and pulishing for the majority who are seriously interested.

If I remember correctly the "Impressions" last year were not made available on the Videx site as this was a Videx agreement with a dog magazine or the like that David had that in order to read them you had to order that magazine. I believe this to be true but I may be mistaken. I am not sure if that is the case this year. Again I am not sure that this is / was the case but I think it could be.

If it is I would like to know the name of the magazine or? so I may obtain a copy from last year and this year IF that is the case and if not I like many others await what David decides to do next as far as his "Impressions" and others.

Sincerely,

Joseph

David, you've never been one to shy away from criticism. SOMEONE has to speak the truth! Please post your impressions!

Joseph: My "IMPRESSIONS" were always written 'primarily' for my website, magazines were always informed of that fact. I simply received a free or reduced advert in their publication for allowing them to publish them (strictly unedited).

For information, I had my IMPRESSIONS interpreted in the German Language by a professional interpreter, at considerable cost to myself, simply to ensure that what I wrote about the German Sieger could be read by the German GSD fraternity.

Every year at the German Sieger I see people from Great Britain wearing 'Press Passes'. Many of these people, some notable, have NEVER written anything about the GSD in any publication. Let these people write their reports on the Sieger Show, or even some "ASPECTS of the Sieger Show", now there is a good TITLE, I will not hold my breath.

Mr Payne,

Thank you for clearing that up for me.  I mistakenly thought you were paid/hired by a magazine to write the impressions for them exclusively. I agree others should speak out on a number of issues but do not for a number of reasons or are unable to reach the amount of people as you can. Personally I think the value of your "impressions" should be greater than a reduced advert especially for a magazine......

I would think a price could be put on these writings of some sort and would faithfully be paid. Personally if I had a dog related website I would most certainly post them there. (with permission of course!) I further think that this would help defray at least some of your costs for a translator etc....I also think individuals would be willing to pay to obtain them. I am not sure of a value but personally I do not think a few dollars to even $15.00 (US) would not be out of line. JMHO.

Thank you again for taking your time to address this.

Blazing new trails is never easy or crowded. Sometimes we do it because it is something that needs to be done by someone and we realize that someone is us.

God speed,

Joseph

Joseph123: It was my decision to pay for the interpretation, normal cost 0.16 euro per word = 160 euros per 1000 words. My "IMPRESSIONS" wer usually between 5000 & 7000 words.

This had nothing to do with my deciding to stop writing them. My reasons are as stated above.
