Maggie;
I get that periodically as well. Check your settings. If you are running vista chances are microsoft did another update and you now are stuck with it unless you restore your computer to an earlier date than the update.
I had that issue a few days ago but once I restored my computer its been fine ever since.

Well, I have Norton 360 and it has spyware protection, etc., on it. After I get rid of the Annoying Pop up, I always do a quick Norton Scan and it states everything is fine. ??
I don't know what is going on with my computer. I hear "clicks" all the time -- almost as if my computer is being managed "remotely." I just got this computer last December. I didn't hear the "clicks" on my old one. I think I'm becoming Paranoid !!
BTW -- I don't have Vista. I paid a little extra to get Windows XP.

Spyware is way different than adware. I dont think norton covers adware. could be wrong.

That "thing" appears to be a huge file of some kind. If it is bumped down the page it might at least be pushed onto the second page. As people post, it does seem to be moving down.

Maggie; The same trick should work with windows xp. Microsoft is constantly doing updates to your system and if you restore to a point prior to when this started occurring it should get rid of it for you. Also go into add remove programs and remove anything that was added during the time this started to occur that you did not download and install on your system. Do not remove stuff that was installed when you first got your system. That should take care of the issue. Periodically you may have to repeat this process as windows updates. You may want to set your settings so that the computer has to ask your permission to install updates and this way you can pick and choose what you want to install. Hope this helps.

Oli must be doing something with the site.
I tried to get on here this morning and couldn't for aprox. 10 min.
Now, some features of the site are different and it was like that the last time he was implementing new things with the site.
Just my thought.
