"I wonder if it would be worth asking the contact to supply a different photo"
Why, so it that can be picked apart, as well?
As Robin said, the pup is overstacked. The dam is lovely, although heavy in angulation for my personal taste, but at least both parents are titled, rated, koered, and a stamped. That's more than can be said for the breeding stock of many many many folks who would pick this pup apart.
Gotta disagree with you JRansom, Floro does not look like a bitch to me at all, and I like my males very masculine.

the pup is overstacked, and then the handler is squashing his rear down so he's almost sitting. Obviously (to me) a terrible way to show a pups' conformation - no way to tell if he's overangulated or not - looks like a nice pup in the front end - let him stand up to show his real structure and maybe he would be excellent all around. Impossible to tell with his rear end being squashed down. He's certainly not standing that way on his own.

Yes, I think it is just the stack. I was helping to stack some puppies (8wks - 5 months) a few times for pics and there were a few who had never been stacked. They kept trying to sit down on me and the result was pretty much what I see in that pic. I dunno, maybe it's not the stack, but yes I definitely can see where a little puppy would *appear* to look so bad but not be that way in reality. The dog in the picture is first off way down on one hock, then the other foot is cow-hocking inward making the rear even lower. Maybe the handler is pushing on the rear and maybe the dog is just a puppy who is not used to being stacked and trying to sit like they do with me.
