My first PPD, Sled dog, Therapy dog, Obedience dog, Exibition Dog... Best friend one of the earliest WGSD show dogs in the era of Scofield's Rex Von Finn... Sundown over Shilo, CD, TDI -OFA. I can fault his conformation, but his heart and soul were 100% German Shepherd, and showed all that a GSD really CAN do anything!

I have some old photos of my first gsd somewhere. These are old black and white, early 50's but I have no idea how to post them if in fact it is even possible. If it is possible to do this, I would appreciate someone sending me a PM explaining it. Keep in mind, I am a computer dummy. Thanks

How can you say that? I think people are trying to make GSDs more like Malinois lately. "Back in the day" Gsds were real dogs. Today people are trying to make prey monster malinois and forgetting about the good old balanced dog with defense and aggression. I know you were joking but behind every joke is a truth. Maybe you were referring to the ugliness? Yeah, I'm sure that is it. Although the way they look now is pretty darn ugly.

Yes I am talking about the way they looked and had the proper PHYSICAL structure to work.

As for the comment about the prey driven monsters, I agree to a point, but you need to stop looking at Sch and Ring Mals and look at the NVBK and KNPV Mals. Those are real balanced bad ass dogs.

I am ashamed to admit it but the Mals are heading toward troubled waters. I know we both know there are very good examples of both breeds out there just not in the numbers you or I might like

Hans, I am so glad that you have been posting on here. Great information all around from you.

In Poseidon's post look at the second picture. Then look at the third girl in from the left. I believe that she may be a Vulcan.
She appears again in the fifth picture and is the one on the right in the front row. Spock would be so proud!
