Starrchar,

I too, wish there were more people out there like Crys.  She's taken on alot with a blind pup, but they're doing great!

If I had the room and time I'd probably have a rescue myself.  I have to GSD's, one maybe PPD material, one sport material.
Igot  those dogs with a specific purpose, otherwise I would have gone to a shelter and adopted.   In the future, should I aquire more land, I will definately look at shelter dogs.

Hello Everyone,
I love the photos of Oakie and the other pup Benny, too...
The photos are so precious and I love seeing how she is maturing into a lovely lady!!!!

I love the happy ending stories that make what I am doing worthwhile... Thanks again Crys for adopting Oakie, I would have probably had another dog in my string if you wouldn't have been there...I do have a soft spot for the seniors and special needs dogs...

That is how I got started in the rescue business...

Another wonderful 20 month old dog, Sheba,  is going to her forever home tomorrow. People drove here all the way from Washington, near Spokane. Stayed overnight and will take her home tomorrow.

Thanks Char and all for your input. We need to stick together and try to get the "breeders" to quit breeding for a year at least so we can catch up...

Hi All,

I'm going out of town for a week...But it's a working vacation.  We're going to cut firewood about 70 miles from home.  New exposures for Oakley, along with maybe even a few dips in the lake...It'll be fun for all of us, except the work part.  She'll handle it all fine, just like Misty will, I'm sure.  At least Oakley likes car rides!

Got to go, it's getting late.  I'll get some pics of our hikes and such, and post them when I get back Sunday night or Monday morning!

Have a great week!

Keep an eye on my Oakie pup Crys, I wouldn't want a tree to fall on her or get rolled by a log....I know you will, but I just had to say it...I am a worry wart when it comes to safety around the pups...especially when she can't see what's coming....
Take care and have fun, Steph
