Your vet should give her a vaccination if she is not 100% healthy at the time.
Also th boarding kennel will not accept a dog with Kennel Cough so you might just have to make other arrangements for her.

I figured that is what she had...very common from any kennel you deal with that has dogs coming and going...Most kennels require proof of the Bronchiseptica /Bordetella vacine administered before shipping..or transporting.

The cough is worse sounding than dangerous...YOu feel bad for them and it sounds like they may die...but be assured...it will pass...It is just like the croop kids cough with...
.I use to soundlike a fog horn when I got bronchcitis every winter...when it goes down into the esophagus it sounds horrible...dogs do the same and it worries you...do not fret....
..a slight bit of a non alcoholic cough syrup every 6 hours will work....keep pup quiet as any exhurtion causes cough to start up.....
I really do not think you need all the respirator /what ever...just keep her quiet and use the clavomox and make sure you give her small amount of a probiotic as soon as she finished the antibiotic...

Glad to hear it was only Kennel Cough......she'll be fine!
Most of the time, if an older dog contracts the virus.....it runs it's course, and the dog does fine.

Sounds like your vet has your pup on the right meds, if the temaril p does not hold the cough, your vet may use Hycodan ( human med) which comes in syrup and tablet form.

Wow, what a difference a day makes. She is 95% better. Her coughing while in the crate is pretty much non-existant. When I take her out to eat or go outside to go potty, she gets a little rambunctious and makes herself cough, but once she does that, she's ready to go back in the crate and sleep some more. Boy is she gonna be a handful when this is over...a weeks worth of energy to let loose. I am looking forward to getting my CRAZY puppy back though.
