Wait a year... No defense, or you will ruin the dog
 Ive seen it

PSA will help your dog..hidden sleeve, car jacking etc.  Find a good club.
Its the best thing out there and you can later do more serious work..easy transition.

* Use FMJ ammo in your Walther.  They are prone to jamming with hollow points. High profile case years back of British Secret service and their walthers jamming.
Keep it clean and lubricated.
Or trade it for a Glock.

Personally I wouldn't own a Glock.......lol
Not what I consider a quality weapon, or a safe one.
JMO....:)

Para ordience man here or colt 45 acp , guess i,m just old school.

And if worst comes to worst just grab the old Mossberg 590 military pump and pound away.

Good luck with your training. Let us know how it proceeds

2 Moons...
Everyone has an opinion. Yours is welcome. Though I disagree.

Glock is THE Standard when it comes to reliability, bar none.
After that, comes Sig, HK, Makarov and a few others.

Glock=34 parts, simple to use, simple to break down, no safety or anything to have to think about, dont have to clean and tweak it like a 1911 45.
Theres a reason most departments use Glocks and Sigs today..they work. Pull trigger=Bang.
Glock will  service guns...all Springs Free of Charge, anytime.  Sig charges $145

My Sig is my go-to gun generally as its so accurate, but I keep a Glock 22 40cal on me most of the time.
Nothing comes close. Except the Sig.

Bob is right...shotgun is what you want for your home, for carry, the Makarov or Glock Sub G26 or G19 is really nice.
I have a commie Walther knockoff-Hungarian PA 63 fires 9x18 makarov round. With FMJ ammo and some new springs, its great.  I know why people carry them in Summer time, theyre comfortable and easy! Fits the hand nicely too. Just go FMJ.

You can watch Youtube Glock and Sig Torture Tests and make your opinion. Few guns will take that abuse and keep firing!

I like my colt, but I love Beretta's as well.
Have a Browning old model BDA for back-up.
Yeah its like anything else, everybody has a favorite.

Bob/Moons/Harley

If you want to Pimp ie Accessorize your gun, I found a great guy. FFL licesned. Very reasonable.
Polish Chrome, Springs, whatever you want. Just got my Sig back, looks great.
Check out the photos.  It will lengthen your guns life and add value and it looks cool!

LOL...Ugly,
Actually I am a fairly decent smith, I do have a small shop and some equipment.
I do my own accurizing and can make a 1911 tight and sweet.
Its a really simple weapon in design.
But I no longer carry my FFL.  So I don't take in business as it were.

I do have a remington 1187 that I sent to scattergun technoligies a couple years ago and they did a sweet rework  down to the laser sights.
And I my self have to appoligize to you Harley for dragging it even farther of track.
Do you have a picture of your pup? what are his lines some lines are more conducive to this kind of work.
