How much is your monthly dog food bill?

Well for my RAW fed dog, I buy in bulk and have a seperate freezer. I just stocked up on RMBs, organ meat, tripe, the bill was $261.00 and I think that will last a little over 3 months. Then you have to add in for tracking bait, vitamin e & salmon oil. The other two eat kibble, I don't keep track of what I am paying for their kibble.

I feed the food from costco. its great food and i add Raw Meat and other things that keep the coast down,

Not sure exactly, We have 5 dogs. we feed Raw mixed with some kibble, along with Salmon oil. Good thing i get the food at wholesale cost. Plus we have a boarding kennel/doggie day care that we feed. So anywhere from 10 to 30 aditional dogs a day. Which is included in their price of boarding and daycare if they want us to feed our food.

I must be short-changing my dogs based on the amount that some are spending.

My two go through a 40lb bag of kibble from Costco each month. In addition, I give them ground beef, white rice and eggs - also all from Costco - which I mix with the kibble to varying degrees. The total I spend monthly on the two dogs is about $45.

They are both doing great so I'll just stick with what is working.

Don't know and don't want to know!! I buy my two dogs (yep, ONLY two) premium food. They also get treats (bully sticks) and molasses doggie-cookies every day. Add in the Hebrew National hotdogs for tracking. (The cheap ones DISAPPEARED from the stores here. So, if I have to pay "real" prices for hotdogs, it should be something I can eat in a bun every now and then, too!

)

I just bought the heathens a new vehicle to ride in, so their crates could be side by side, they'd have a sunroof for more ventilation and air conditioning in the back. So, NO, I do not want to know everything I spend on these dogs each month. It would scare me. It would probably traumatize me.

I only have one GSD but his Timberwolf is very expensive around $63.00 a month. Never mind salmon oil, flax oil and yogurt.

On the weekends he gets a couple of bagels with cream cheese ( I know he's spoiled rotten) I refuse to admit he gets an occassional ice cream. LOL

Seems like he's destroying kongs at a record pace also. but that's another story. LOL

I was also giving him Olewo before they screwed up the supply. it got so expensive most places stopped carrying it.

I have 3 GSDs and I am picky about food quality (I have had very bad experiences including rodent turds in my new dog food bag, some kind of dried up insect remains in another, etc). I spend $160 / month not including treats and supplements. I told my dogs it is high time they earn some $$, after all, my teenage son has a job to help defray his food bills LOL

I feed all raw to my two males (8 and 10 1/2 years old). With supplements, it costs me $100-125 each.

The trade off is that I have no vet bill, senior dogs who could pass for 5, and no internal or external parasites. I don't treat the dogs, the house, or the yard for fleas, Because of the many benefits of DE, I have recently started adding it to the boys' diets.
