Fluid in the abdomen does not sound good. Most likely causes are cancer or an intestinal blockage. If it was a blockage, the dog would either still be very sick or dead right now.
Sorry...hoping for the best for you and your dog, but things are not sounding good. Most common type of Ca. in dogs is hemangiosarcoma, which causes bleeding, Dog is fine one day, then the tumor starts to bleed, and often, nothing much can be done.

I lost a Shepherd last year to osteo-sarcoma in her pelvic bone. She did not have any symptoms except for a very big lump on her back toward the base of her spine that appeared suddenly. She had no stomach upset or throwing up or lack of apetite.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Keep us posted as you can.

He is doing better and wants to eat! He also has quit "hiding" and back to laying at my office door. I am not sure if this is cancer or food yet, as long as he is on anti vomit, he is happy, so I am going to ride this wave for awhile. He is on anti bodies also with special diet, if he continues to show improvement when meds are complete they will retest blood and check for fluid in the intestines and stomach. Whatever is going on his liver and kidneys are not effected, and he shows no tumors that they can see. Just the walls of the stomach and intesines are really thick and full of bloody liquid. I am having trouble with why they can not tell me one way or the other what is going on, he was exrayed, ultrasound, stool sample, stomach tapped for fluid, blood test, on fliud Iv (best invention yet). Tommorrow I might take him for a small walk and see how he does.
