I have recently put an ad up under puppies. If people are not aware that they have to put in their address, state, and area code then it will say you are located in Kansas. When I put my ad up I did not put my address, etc down and it said I was located in Kansas, so I went back and figured it out so it say's my true location. Either people do not understand how to use this? or they just plain don't want anyone to know their location?

FYI...the geographical center of the US is near Lebanon, Kansas, which is in the north-western part of north-central Kansas. I grew up in the northwestern part of the Kansas, near the Nebraska border.

thanks for the replies. i guess what befuddled me was the fact that i coincidentally received emails from one of these kennels and thought it seemed fishy. the kansas locale probably just shows up when kennels have not provided a specific address. since i used my real name, real address, etc, when registering on this site, it probably automatically adjusted the locator map to my real location. makes sense. thanks again.

the map works. every time you post an ad, you have to set the location.
i live in kansas and it shows me north of topeka where i live.
