OT - the truth about gun control - Page 2

As this administration goes you will see more incrochment on the 2nd amendment, Prepare your self because in the end You are the only one responsible for your well being, I prefer the goverment not plan on taking care of me. 

Me too Bob.  We have gun control here and it's been nothing but a huge cost to the taxpayers.

Better to be judged by twelve than carried by six.  Concealed carry is a wonderful thing.  Now the crooks have to think twice before doing anything...does she or doesn't she?  Only her firearms trainer knows for sure!

 

A little history is important to understand why this amendment is written the way in which it was........

When the British came to take back America, the first thing they did was to go to  the place where all the guns and munitions were stored in each city and seize it. This gave the the Brits a large advantage, because at that time most people who lived in cities and town didn't own guns.

"Minutemen" were the end result - they kept their arms at their homes so they could called into a Militia at a minute's notice..............

So here we are, the Federal government has taken over, there are fewer and fewer "states rights" and the Fed is doing everything it can to infringe upon our rights. The Federal government is (has) growing into a mass power that doesn't answer to the people of this country and by taking away our guns its is ensuring that we cannot do any thing to protect our God given and Constitutional rights.......... and at the same time is creating a nation that is less secure.....


So much for our little history lesson for the day............

BTW = back then "State" had the same meaning as "Sovereign Country" - The United States of America was meant to be a group of "Sovereign Countries that all worked together through a Federation".........My, my how things have changed..!......


Federation
the formation of a political unity, with a central government, by a number of separate states, each of which retains control of its own internal affairs.

State
a politically organized body of people usually occupying a definite territory; especially : one that is sovereign

Sovereign
The person, body, or state in which independent and supreme authority is vested; especially, in a monarchy, a king, queen, or emperor.

They are trying to remove tribal sovereignty rights as well. NOT playing well in Oklahoma, Itellyawhut.  If the Feds succeed in forcing the Cherokee to acknowledge "freedmen" as tribal members, I'm not sure what's gonna happen.  When they start telling NA tribes who is and is not a member of their own tribe, you can forget all your personal freedoms.
