Puppies are doing better....the first couple of days were really rough for a few of them. 8 out of 9 are now over 1 lb but I have 1 little girl that is being tube fed every 2 hrs. She's the smallest & is a REAL fighter.

how many did u have, and what did they weigh?
anyone else who would like to comment on the size of litter vs. birth weight?
seems to me the smaller the litter the larger the pups. and vice versa. your thoughts.

I have 9 in this litter born 05/10/2009:
Smallest at birth was 12.3 oz
Largest at birth from this litter was 17.4 oz
Smallest now today is at 15.25 oz
Largest now today is at 23.625 oz
Smallest at birth was 12.3 oz

i am whelping a litter as i type. so far 4 pups, all right around 14 oz.. i am expecting at least 4 more.
one of my last litters was 7 pups. smallest 17, largest was 24 oz.

Hello everyone,
We are evry proud to announce our Steinquelle GSD puppies are being whelped as we speak.Sire and Dam are both 2 years old, all pre health checks done and excellant OFA's !!! Sire is 100 # and our dam is 70#. First pup is doing well and she weighs 1.2 Pounds!! x ray confrmed 6 so we still have 5 more to go!!! Our 3 veternarains said this is a great healthy weight for newborn GSD puppies!!!!
