I have a Kelty one that has been used on a few backpacking trips with much success. The straps run long so I would order a size smaller than what they recommend.

Glad to hear one else had issue with the neck fitting! I have a 63 lb female! I tossed and turned about what sized to get and finally decided on the small because I was so concerned about the load sitting properly....obviously not a concern for your cell and keys I agree! I still don't make the dog carry nearly what she could. Even if i wanted to the getting the small size made the actual packs, so you may have made the wise choice!
Are you tire of people asking if your dog will grow up, or what she is mixed with (clearly not a pure breed at that size)!!
