How Sad this message board has become!

Surely what ever is discussed deserves a sincere and honest reply, how wrong can I be. Those that decide to use the word BUMP, only use this word to destroy the GSD.

If using BUMP keeps the topic at the top of the page, then the TOPIC actually is not being read and the word BUMP refers the topic as being uninteresting.

I am even more surprised to see TOP KENNEL names using this as a way to keep the topic at the top end of this forum.

Very sad indeed!

Honesty, get a grip, try checking the views the thread gets before you stupidly comment!!!! How the hell can the word BUMP destroy the breed? Unreal!!!!!  BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP., OH! DEAR I HAVE HELPED DESTROY THE BREED, LMFAO. Liz

I would have thought that this is having the opposite effect!!  If a bit of bumping keeps details of a show near the top of the board, bringing it to as many peoples' attention as possible and therefore encouraging more exhibitors to enter, it can only have a positive effect on the GSD!!  (Sorry that was a very long sentence!)

Honesty, perhaps you need to get a sense of perspective.  There are many things which are detrimental to the GSD, but bumping a subject up a message board really isn't one of them.

"Bring Up My Post" aka B U M P.

When you post in a thread, the thread is "bumped" back up to the top. Writing the word "bump" is just a way to let everyone know that you're only doing it so that your thread is at the top, and ergo, will recieve more view and/or replies.

However, it is not encouraged to bump too often. Don't post a thread, and then bump it every 15 minutes just to keep it at the top. Not even every hour. Give it time, or you may be frowned upon.
