guess the breeders cannot handle what a puppy guarentee SHOULD look like.
If a puppy buyer is going to shell out $1,000+ per puppy, there should be something specific agreed to.
A puppy that has a hip guarentee, may end up with another genetic ailment before 2 years of age that make the "product" defective. After 26 months there is no more liability to the breeder - period.
One would hope that the instances of the above listed ailments is so low that it will not bankrupt a kennel. The contracts that do not stipulate, and are "fuzzy" are just begging for trouble, and the kennel's will end up loosing.
wording like "void of any health issues that will prevent the dog from working" are a joke in the court system.
