How do you train a Beta to fight? I mean, do they make miniature logging chains to go around their midsections? How about treadmills?

Actually, the whole "fish fighting" bit isn't news. Back when I went to college, fighting betas was pretty common among certain groups.

They trained them to fight by holding up mirrors infront of the glass, the fish would attack the mirror for a while. They'd take away the mirror, then feed it. Beta food is generally in little pellets, so it's easy to use that way I guess. I've heard that as fish go, they're actually somewhat trainable.
