I was browsing the dogs you mentioned, Sunsilver, noticed Bernd's track record. A VA dog who was V at the BSP.  It will be a great day for the GSD indeed if we can ever have that happen again.

A girl I know ended up with 2 of thier pups back in 05. We trained one B/C female who was an awesome driven female. The other was B/S and was off the wall in drives. The highly friven female went to Az with us and was trained as a fully trained Protection dog and have a really nice life in Costa Rica now. Till that day I had only seen one of her dogs and always saw them as show dogs, but was shocked to learn aboht the parents being titled in SchH. That is when I began learning a lot about this person and was rather amazed at how her dogs worked. The other female from what I understand got her CD,and some tracking titles out in Cali.

Bodo and Bernd were both amazing dogs. Bodo was German, Dutch AND Belgian Sieger! Many people would give a great deal to claim these dogs are in their pedigrees!

Too bad cloning wasn't around then...

I almost picked up one of the Valiantdale pups years ago.  I always do my homework, and I was convinced these dogs and lines are very biddable, bright and sound -- although I wasn't focused on protection, then, so I don't know what I would have thought about that.
