Thanks you guys! Yes, she inherited her fathers "IM HERE, ALL EYES ON ME!!!" gene. lol. She also got his fearlessness and mom's pretty gaiting. lol. I will definitely let everyone know how she does. She is my friends dog, but I own the parents.

I think you have a very nice puppy.  However, I am very concerned about that crooked ear.  It looks from the picture that there is a crease in the cartilage where the ear meets the skull.  That can become permament if it doesn't get corrected (an ear  form shaped and inserted by someone who really knows what they are doing because this can be a stubborn problem.)  I would hate to see that happen because the ear would be a fault on an adult dog in the show ring.  Since you will be in Chicago my advice to you would be to go to the tents of some of the top breeders at the show, (there easy to find)  If they are too busy to advise you or look at your puppy's ear go to ther next tent or find them at the hotel etc.  If they are really sportsmen and women they will realize that if there is no help or sharing advice etc. with the novices and hobby breeders that in the future there will be no one at the Sieger shows except 3 to 4  large kennels competing only against each other. Maybe they don't think this is a  problem but if that is the case there goes their puppy market and would the Sieger shows in this country really be possible or financially feasible if only 3 or 4 big kennels are competing.  This is the direction I see things going unfortunately, that is where I see things headed.  Also  see if you can find Randy Brent.  Ask around if you don't know who he is.  He is very knowledgable and always willing to share his expertise.

Find Carlos Huerta from Huerta Hof german shepherds, he is good with dogs ears he does all of Mittelwest dogs ears if they need forms. His tent is usually next to Mittelwests.

divmastr1988- I see that you mentioned Mittelwest in your post...just curious here as I am rather new not only to the forum but to Pedigree stuff overall...is Mittelwest a kennel/breeder? The reason for my curiosity is that the grandfather to my GSD is Fabian Vom Mittelwest. I have a profound interest in the lineage of my GSD...I find it so intersting and just can't seem to gleem enough info on it all.

Thank you

mamabevi5 Mittelwest is the name of the Kennel owned by Julie Martinez the breeder in Bolingbrook, Illinois. she is now moving to Wonder lake in Illinois.
Fabian is one Mittelwest's top studs, he is owned By Pam and Gene Kalvaitis, very nice folks. He is 2X VA rated, and went Universal Sieger I believe in 2005. he is a nice dog, nice watching him work with Pam.  He is I believe  8years old and usually shows in the Vetrans class, although I think he maybe retired from shows now.

If it isn't corrected by the Sieger show, we'll have it done while there. I'm not worried about it as of right now, nor is anyone who has seen her in person. However, I do appreciate your concern and advice. Thank you.
