OK.  Kids, dogs and cats...the best solution...hardwood flooring :-)

Quite possibly it is in the woodwork (basboards) of the coner and now back in the carpet since your pup has started going there.  Try and use a scat mat there to keep the pup away, same for keeping the cats off the furniture.

I gave up havng a nice home with perfect furniture and carpet.  I am convienced it can't happen with normal dogs, kids and cats in the house, at least not with me working full time and not cleaning house full time!

One of our last cats (none now) loved to get under the bed in the middle of the night roll over and use all four claws on the bottom of the bed springs.  Shredded all of the fabic under there.  Not much fun getting up at 2am and chasing the cat out from under the bed!

All animal lovers have issues, not just you.  If they say they don't they are lliving in a dream world, like a mom that says labor doesn't hurt!

Good suggestions. I once rented my house in CA out to people who had a cat the pee'd in front of the fireplace and a dog that pee'd in the master bedroom for about 6 mos. Every time the weather changed I could smell cat piss.  My pups found the spot in the bedrooom. I peeled back the carpet, replaced the sub-floor, then drenched everything with Nature's Miracle, let it sit, and had the truck-mounted carpet cleaner suck it up.
It worked. didn't damage the carpet either.

Simple Solution as well. Unless the person that cleaned and replaced the carpet used a non-ammonia-based odor neutralizer, your dogs can still smell it :)
