Hi  Your puppy is still growing and he is a bit over angulated in the rear however you can improve it by doing sand work.  At the beach etc either let him run free or keep him on a short lead and get him to pull through the sand.  He will get tired very quickly over a short distance but if you keep doing it, it will improve.  I also noticed your puppy is down on his pasterns slightly - this is maybe due to a growth spurt.  Either increase his natural calcium for a while extra bones, chicken necks etc or supplement until you see an improvment.  His angles will straighten as he grows up but not that much.  Your puppy has a good forequarter good topline and underline and quite a strong head.  What do you feed your puppy and how often??

Walking and playing with him in sand will also help strengthen his pasterns, too. They are quite low, and his feet need to be tighter, make sure you keep his nails very trim. The second photo is not taken a flattering angle at all and makes him appear very out of proportion, the first one is a somewhat better angle. He appears to stand east/west. Good front angulations. He is over angulated in the rear for my taste but has a wonderful masculine head and very good bone. If you are keeping him regularly on a concrete kennel of other very hard surface I would change that asap. He lacks dryness, but that can be greatly improved on when he is old enough for real conditioning. I would like to see a photo of him in motion.

Please do not let the nasty comments bother you, I'm sure in the Philippines it is harder to breed within a limited gene pool.  He definitely has promise, you must help him develop correctly.

purina pro plan pup, 2 cups 3x a day...about your idea on feeding chiken neck  will i remove the skin? how about, i will give him natural calcium(e.g. chicken neck) and calcium suplement (e.g. kirkland calcium for strong teeth and bones)...is it ok i will give both?

by the way ...this pup survive blood parasite, has it for a month (mid january-mid february) ...no appetite, skin and bones. i went to a vet check his blood becuase his pale and could hardly stand up  -- later rule out blood parasite. blood transfussion from a labrador, doxycycline, iron and lysine  supplement and now his up...behaving and eating normally, photo above the first one is the latest  (march 14) .. will this interfere his growth ?  sorry many questions, thank you

Feed the rabbits to your dog, he'd do better than Purina.

Nice big-boned pup.  ENJOY him and good luck with him.

Be careful as to over-supplementing with calcium (or anything else).  Don't go broke buying really expensive foods, and feeding ONLY chicken necks or ONLY anything is not necessarily the best.

In defense of Purina Pro Plan, I know a number of people who feed it and have beautiful, healthy, sound dogs; I've used it myself and been pleased, actually have one 5yo GSD on it exclusively and his coat is gorgeous and he's very healthy and fit.  He thrives on it.

I also know people who feed commercial raw diets but start all their puppies on Purina Selects (it's like Pro Plan but the bag is white and not black).  They feed this up to one year and then switch to raw.  Works for them.  Beautiful, sound, healthy puppies.  I do NOT recommend plain old Purina Dog Chow - that stuff is awful, but there's a lot of healthy, happy, winning dogs on Pro Plan.

I second KCzaja:  "If you are keeping him regularly on a concrete kennel of other very hard surface I would change that asap."  Gravel surface does wonders for feet.  And ESPECIALLY:  "Please do not let the nasty comments bother you....  He definitely has promise, you must help him develop correctly."

Have a wonderful time with him!

Feeding Pro-Plan is essentially denying the dog of ANY meat in it's diet whatsoever.
The food is basically corn and rice fragments.

I've smoked for years.  Haven't gotten cancer.  In fact, I run 6 minute miles.

Does that mean that cigarettes don't cause cancer?  Or does it mean I'm lucky?

Just because you know some dogs that did fine on ProPlan doesn't change the ingredient list.

Do not give calcium supplements ..dog is too young for calcium that will end up in kidney stones or deposited in joints or somewhere not needed...use raw meats and bones  for extra and use greens , or cottage cheese or gelatin in food..(knox) envelop in food , mix with a bit of moisture in food, like chicken juices or broth off of greens...or green beans...
Anything with calcium in it but not a supplement..

do the things the others have suggested for strengthening the rear.
