Ball pythons and rat snakes are constrictors. Snakes all fall into one of 2 catagories, Venomous or Constrictor. If the snake isn't one it has to be another. The snake in the video happens to be a Burmese Python and is a constrictor.

Hey 4pack, that's a good video. Hope they keep that snake well fed or it may eat that kid one day. Here's a picture of a snake I caught working the street one night. It weighed aboout 100lbs and was about 15 feet long...

There were better pics, but I can't find them any more. It took 5 of us to lift this thing up. I drove it home in the back of my police car. It was pretty funny.

What don't you know Moons? We're talking catagories not species. Catagories are actually based on how a snake kills it's prey. If one injects venom it's venomous. If it squeezes(or constricts) it's prey it's a constrictor.

Sounds thin to me.
But whatever you say is fine with me.

Yeah, a few missed meals and that kid and that snake are gonna be more "inseparable" than most people would care for.

I have two snakes of my own, a Ball Python and a Common Corn Snake. Both are about 3.5 feet long right now, and probably won't get much longer than 4 or 4.5 feet. I think they're great pets and are relatively low maintenance. You just can't be squeamish, particularly when feeding them.. Neither species is venomous, and kills its prey with constriction instead.

I had a Rainbow Boa that was very personable, preferred being with me rather than in her enclosure. I just got tired of feeding her live mice. I have also had several lizards, iguanas and even a salamander over the years; good pets.
