You better look at this bill, even if you like it. NO more taking your dog on quick outing and running in and leaving your dog in the car. The law does not give a temputure guage for the weather, only NO LEAVING them in a car. I would suggest kennels band together and have thier own shows, every dog is a show winner! |
You are sooooooo right Idoggie, many of us like some of the things in ths bill and can understand the logic behind some of the other provisions even if we disagree.
But ,,,,,,,,, always remember California is a paradise with snakes lurking everywhere ready to bite!
Some parts of this bill exist only to trap the unwary, not the guilty. It is a big game of gotcha.
For instance, it states they can grab your dog because you left it "illegally" in the car out on an errand, You may think that on a cool day with proper ventilation, water etc, that you are in no danger. You might be very wrong. They can grab your dog and then you explain why you are not guilty of leaving your dog improperly in the car, in fact, you prove that your dog is extremely well taken care of. But, they have your dog and now they've GOTCHA! So, no problem about the leaving in the car thing, but, that is their excuse to force the mandatory spay/neuter provisions. They will not give you your dog without a sworn statement that you will spay or deuter and if you don't , there are severe penalities.
A crappy neighbor can report you for something that isn't true, but, now the law is invoked and no way out except for SNIP, SNIP!
Read this thing, it is a nightmare.
