I would wait before doing any drastic measures. The original poster said her dog had a SEVERE overbite, you say your pup's is SLIGHT. He is still growing, and I have seen many cases where your dog's problem self corrects with time. As the canines and the bottom jaw grow, all will probably come into proper alignment. At best, I would seek another vet's opinion.

Ahh I see. I really hope it all works out as expected. Sounds like your pups "smile" will look a little bit silly!

Please keep me posted as to the progess, if you don't mind....I'm interested to see if that would have worked out to be a better option for us. Who is the ortho you went to?
