The heat given out by the dog can be estimated, but in order to know the temp rise of the room some info about  the room, its volumn, must be known.

I keep my kennel at 46F. I'd keep it lower but the Monitor heater's thermostat  only goes that low. My dogs have raised platforms to lay on but the floor isn't very cold as long as I keep the temp setting consistent. Costs about 1 - 1 1/2 gal. of kero a day. There aren't enough dogs (only 4)  in the 22 x 50 building to keep it warm on their own.

I never use any form of heat for my outside dogs, and they never have taken any hurt by it
And an outside dog grows a better thicker coat than one living in the house and that is certain

Some source will tell you the increase in calorie in food intake needed. Very rough estimate can be obtained.

I heat the building as much for myself as for the dogs. I don't like working in the freezing cold and I get sick of defrosting frozen water buckets under hot water in the house.
