Good for Colorado!  Colorado's a great name, isn't it?

by AnjaBlue on 25 January 2009 - 14:01

Great name, great state! We really like it here, over 300 days of sunshine a year.......

Yes, that statue is for real - next time I'm in the park I'll find out when it was installed. (We also have an elm tree in the same park which was grown from a scion taken from the tree at Shakespeare's grave - it was planted in 1913. Immigrant folks wanted a piece of the homeland I guess......)

Now i feel sick, 300 days of sunshine!!!!!  How about 300 days of rain, wind, sleet, and then more rain!!  liz

LOL... you wouldn't change it tho' would you, Liz?

I've been thinking about a "fly drive" holiday... maybe, Colorado or Montana, they look beautiful.

It's pretty amazing Liz - we can get very cold in the winter, but the sunshine makes a world of difference. I grew up in N. W.London (Harrow), so I remember the weather well - and don't miss it!

You're so right, i would probably be moaning it was too hot if we got all that sunshine, never happy, lol. When i was younger America was one of the countries i would love to have toured, my health prevents me now. liz

I came here in 1965 and have never regretted it  - we have our problems now of course, but you can't ride the crest of the wave for ever. I think the next years are going to be tough........ politics aside though it is a beautiful country, so much diversity. I'm sorry you weren't able to get over here.... still there are virtual tours, and Google Earth to enjoy........not the same, but it gives you a pretty good idea of what it's like.....

And yes we do moan - (oh no, not  ANOTHER sunny day!) so you are right, we are never satisfied.......

I think "those" problems are pretty much world wide AnjaBlue.  Wish I'd bought a £1,000 worth of dollars a year ago... I was going to and never got around to it!

We'll all come out the other side of this, a bit battered maybe but, whole... I hope!

Fingers and paws crossed here missbeeb!
