Thankfully it has only gone up $3 a bag, since I have been feeding.

Just got back in from the vet, no kidney stones or UTI's she thinks it may just be him adjusting to the dog food. So nothing serious at least. Thank you all for your input! Oh he is 25 pounds and 13 months, I was feeding him about 2.5 cups, he seemed starving and I didn't read the instructions good. He has had alot of skin issues on other foods so I was hoping this may help. Thanks again!

Um, is this dog NOT a GSD? 25lbs at over a year? Is that a typo?

Yep, just read that 25 lb thing myself and if that baby is a year+ , can't be a GSD.. If it is, its too far gone for any one here to help it or them...To think we might have offered some help to someone who doesn't know or have GSDs is almost unthinkable...I feel vioiated...
As far as Orijen being what we feed, I am very happy with everything about the product but the recent rash of price increases over tha past year or so have left me feeling abused...It seems that as this dog food got more popular they felt an obligation to raise the prices...I can buy direct for the $55.00 a bag ($59.00+/-( with tax...) if i had to pay $70 bucks a bag I wouldn't be using it, I'd find something comparable as hard as that might be...
I try not to take myself too seriously any more, older age and the like...Love my dog though...

It can't be GSD at 25 ponds, and 2.5 cups for that weight seems like a lot :). Well guys take it this way if you have a poster that has no GSD but comes here for advice I would think that maybe there is some value to what we saying here lol hahahaaha.

I am feeding EVO Red Meat to a pregnant bitch, which is about the same as Orijen, and called the vet about it. The Vet Tech said the protein level is too high and can cause kidney problems. So I called the line at Natura - EVO in California and asked them about it. They said that UC Berkley had done a study and found that it doesn't cause the kidney probless that vets think and to have my vet log on to the site for vets at nautravet.com. She doesn't urinate any more that usual and seems to be doing perfect on it.
If I had one with frequent urination I would be at the vet within 24 hrs to see. If there is damage the longer you wait the more damage there is. Just my humble opinion.
