We did imprinting on Fada and Fronka for Lorenzo. I had Farvo out of that litter and received papers.
My training partner Chris had Gunter from the "G" litter and never received papers either. He was a fantastic dog though, sold him to someone up in Canada if I am not mistaken.

I know how GSD people are about their papers and "bloodlines" so I'll just throw this out there........
If anyone wants to get rid of there unpapered mongrels cheap, I will gladly take a nice Max son or daughter with no papers

GARD, way to put things in proper perspective.

I have the Gildo pup out of this litter that shows a lot of promise. Lorenzo was successful in breeding the high drive, serious dogs that he anticipated. I consider myself lucky compared to some of the people that sent Lorenzo money and didn't even get a puppy or the frozen sperm they paid for. I filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General but they haven't been able to locate Lorenzo. I have considered filling a small claims complaint but I doubt I would ever collect the money.
Is there any way to have a dog like this get "GSD", not "mixed", put in the USA scorebook without papers from the breeded?

Very true GARD, some of the best dogs that I have owned or worked did not have papers.....
It just sucks for the people that pay big money to have a future breeding dog than to get the shaft.

I would rather have a good dog without papers than a crap shoot with papers ;)

Could UKC be an option ? They have a liberal registration requirement..
by NJDogSports on 09 January 2009 - 16:01
I want the registration so I can have the option of competing in GSD events, not necessarily for breeding. I thought that USA only accepted AKC or SV registrations.

You can still do sport with your dog without AKC papers on them. Contact AKC and tell them your situation, you should be able to send in a couple pics of your dog, they will confirm breed and give you a card. Can't remember what they call it at the moment, hopefully someone else will chime in.

It's the AKC PAL program (formerly ILP), but you need to also show proof that the dog is spayed/neutered.
