Is the pink pads good? Never really thought about it, lol. Thanks guys, I'm sure we are going to have a ball. He will be my first GSD that I will be showing AKC/Sieger and UKC with. I usually just show UKC. Going to attempt schutzhund for my first time too!

I envy you, I'm going through puppy withdrawl at the moment. Had eight a week ago, now they have all gone home.
Best wishs

Excellant color, pigment and coat on him. Best of luck! I have a friend getting a pup from this litter. She's getting Cassidy.

I would not touch a pup with pink pads. It is a sign of poor pigment.
My pup turned out to have poor pigment, and some of her pads were slightly tinged with pink (not completely pink though.) She also had one white nail, but other than those two things, to look at her at 8 weeks, you never would have dreamed she'd have a problem.
So I wouldn't get caught like this again, I asked a breeder of 40 years experience how to judge pigment at such a young age, and she said the pads and nails should look like they've been dipped in jet black ink.
