No need to leave the  state...you have a Chicago politician running the country now.

I have been laughing uproariously all morning.

The Good ole Chicago/Illinois/Daly machine...... SSDD for sure.

But few are more hilarious than Blago (D).  It's kind of a Robert Torricelli (D) moment.  I can't wait till he pleads guilty and has to elocute all his heinous crimes.

My favorite part is where he tries to force the Chicago Tribune to fire opinion editors that have written critical articles about Blago.  He told them that he would withhold their bailout money.   Hahahahaha...extortion and pork all rolled up together.

How about the part where he says he will appoint Obama's choice for senator if he gets Health and Human Services Secretary in the Obama administration.  Apparently, Obama refused to play ball and Blago spent hours cursing him with F-bombs etc.  The woman who Obama chose to replace himself has backed out before this became public.

Several people have been arrested.  You know that they will testify against Blago(D) to save themselves.

Reminds me of the Tamany Hall days in NYC.

A case of truth being stranger than fiction.

You have a good part of the criminal complaint here:

Investors Buy $32 Billion in Treasury Bills with ZERO Yield

Today’s treasury auction outlined the panic that still dominates the financial markets.

$36 Billion in T-Bills were auctioned off today which gave a 0% yield.

Why would anyone be willing to make an investment in which they were guaranteed to make nothing on? The one word answer is Fear.

Heaven forbid, ninja, that I accidentally interpose two letters on my keyboard, because, you know, everyone on this board is a perfect typist.  Before you insult me perhaps you should look at my past posts, I make a concerted effort to be coherent. No one's perfect. Jerk.

KCzaja all my relatives are  from Vandalia and Greenup IL,  they were all talking about the Gov. for years now due to Vandalia sold their coal rights and the money went somewhere- can you guess where.

New Jersey Governor John Corzine shelled out 55 million dollars in his campaign to run for Senator which was his stepping stone. Shortly after that he ran for Governor and was elected, this kind of spending has to tell someone something!  Chicago does not suprise me at all.

KCzaja,

Your post asked if anyone was laughing about what was going on involving Illinois Politics.

I was laughing about the way you spelled Illinois because I thought it went well with the states political corruption.

I was not trying to offend or make fun of you. You are one of the more knowledgeable and consistent posters that I enjoy reading posts from. I apologize if you thought I was being a smartass, as that was not my intention. I was in the middle of two different phone calls as I typed the message.

Peace
