Super, a very nice team, they work very well together. I agree, they are one to watch.  I was impressed too, with her "here" position, then to "heel" position , but  then BACK to "here" position in front - wow!   Of course, we all command the dog to the heel position after the front frinish, but to see her bounce back to the front position after coming to heel...it was as if the tape was going backwards then forwards - really cool!   What is the name of this dog? Do you know what her pedigree is?

Great attention!

With no intention to offend anyone; I have always disliked the way that Collies worked re: their "blind" obedience... you could "heel" them off a cliff!  This Shepherd reminds me of the way a Collie works... great heelwork, great attention etc, would I want one like it?  No!  Maybe that's what you need to compete these days?

Best of luck with her, I'm sure she'll do well.

Yes, Tigermouse, it is the same guy. That course is at Tops In Dog Training in Grayslake IL, where I have been blessed to train for nearly 9 years. There are Three levels, you see him in the video doing some of each. And anyone who is dedicated enough to train their dog to that level can be taught on them.  I don't know Rolando's training backgroud myself, I just know that he does agitation work with our K9s and he loves GSDs as much I do. ;) Mona is I believe out of his breeding, I *think* her sire is a police K9.  Don't quote me on that.  I'll email him this thread, perhaps he'll come tell you about her himself.

That does it. I'm sending all my dogs to you guys. Please don't return them till they look just like that, only with me.

Beautifully done!  Wonderful to watch!

Just wondering, do you this same dog in CKC or AKC obedience would loose points on crowding?
