Thanks for that DP.

Maybe, just maybe this time we'll get something out of this!  It makes my blood boil... the KC are clearly only interested in how things LOOK (to Jo Public) not in how they actually are.

These are pics of PAST pups from my Blue male, first 2 are males from one litter, the other is a female from a different litter All sold to pet homes, and are all spayed and neutered. Everyone, very happy, dogs and owners.

Am I breeding him for Blues, NO, I get Solid Blacks and Sables from him,(very few blues show up). ALL structurally sound with SOLID TEMPERMENTS. His Color may be off, but there is NOTHING wrong with his pups.

I believe a picture is worth a thousand words.

ps. I am not trying to justify the production of Blues, the FACT that they are produced is just a reality of the German Shepherd Dog. Like them or not, they are here. I myself don't care for the whites and I KNOW I WOULD SCREAM IF I EVER produced a PANDA, I would have to "Off with their balls" on that one!

ALEX I DO NOT BREED FOR BLUES.A LITTER JUST POPPED OUT ON ME ONCE..I WAS HORRIFIED..I GAVE EVERYONE AWAY FOR FREE AND SPAYED MY FEMALE..I NEVER NEW THERE WAS SUCH A THING AS A BLUE SHEPHERD UNTILL THEN..YES I GAVE MY SISTER ONE OR TWO ,WHAT SHE DOES WITH HER DOGS IS HER BUISNESS..ALL BLUES AND THERE HAVE NOT BEEN MANY BORN,ARE SOLD AS PETS,AND NUETERED A MUST.AND IF WE MAKE ENOUGH MONEY FOR THERE CARE AND MATENECE WE HAVE A GOOD WEEK..BELIEAVE ME WERE NOT GETTING RICH OFF IT .AS FOR THE LONG COAT VERSUS STOCK COAT WELL THERE TO SEEMS TO BE A DIFFERENCE OF OPINON AS TO WHAT IS LONG AND WHAT IS STOCK.IM NO EXPERT AND NEVER CLAIM TO BE.I KNOW WHAT I LIKE IN MY DOGS AND WHAT I DON'T..TO EACH HIS OWN.I DO NOT TRY TO BREED OVERSIZE NOR UNDER SIZE .SOMETIMES THE BIG ONES SHOW UP.YES I DO LIKE A BIGGER DOG THATS MY CHOICE.I HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT NOT YOU.I OFFER FULL DISCLOSER TO PEOPLE AS TO WHAT TO EXPECT IN THERE PUP .IT'S UP TO THEM TO BUY MY PUP OR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.MOST OF MY DOGS ARE WITH IN THE STANDARD AS I SAID ,,IF IFEEL THE DOG WILL NOT CONFORM TO THE STANDARD I TELL THE PERSON INTERESTED.IF I FEEL THE DOG IS SMALL I GIVE IT AWAY FOR FREE AND HOPE THE PERSON DOES THE RIHGT THING AS TO OUR CONTRACT AND SPAYS UOR NUETERS THE DOG.I HAVE BEEN SCREWED BY MANY OFF THESE SO CALLED DOG LOVERS..NOW MY CONTRACT IS MUCH HARDER FOR THEM TO GET AWAY WITH A FREE DOG AND BREED THE HELL OUT OF IT.HOWEVER I CAN NOT TRACK PEOPLE TO REALLY SEE IF THEY LIVED UP TO THE CONTRACT.BUT THE FEW I CUAGHT WELL THATS ANOTHER STORY..F Y I ALEX I KNOW WHAT A GERMAN SHEPHERD LOOKS LIKE ,,IVE OWNED THEM FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS!!!

I'm not sure what they're trying to do, but the dogs on the link don't look like german shepherds.

Kitkat, I think your male is beautiful. And you stated the pups were sold to pet homes.

So, what's the deal?  Why all the fuss and anger over the color?  Isn't temperment, trainability, soundness of greater importance?

Why all the tails in knots over this. Chill out. Enjoy life!

p.s. no, i have no dogs for sale.

It is my understanding the Altdeutsche Schaeferhund is a separate breed, found in many parts of Europe, they have shows and do breed surveys too.  Legends of Darkness Kennel looks to be an AS breeder.

I'm confused? Is only the color and lenght of coat the fault, or do they believe those dogs have other faults. bodies ,genetics,or is it implied that an breeding of different breeds ,was breed to come up with faults. I thought most litters come up with several colors. Just a question ,as I dont undestand what they are worryed about as long as they meet all standards.
