I would prefer my dogs to be titled before I breed them, but it is not a nessesity. In the end a title is only a piece of paper. I am more concerned with how the dog works and how it is put together. The dog, male or female, should have nice clean conformation, stable temperment, nice pigment, good hips and elbows, and unrestricted movement, also a nice straight topline. None of these roachy backed dogs. The german shepherd is a working dog, so I would like see dogs with nice stable drives. In the end the "title" does not make the dog. I do believe that breedings should well thought out. The dogs should complement each other. The male should be strong in areas that the female is weak and vise versa.
This is just my 2 cents.

Thank you for all your contributions on this topic. I have much to catch up on past discussions on this subject on how others have expressed their views.
I support responsible breeding with an in depth knowledge and understanding of the quality of dogs you choose to pair up.
There are so many breeders about and also many trusting individuals. I just hate to see puppies STILL with weak nerves!
