Be careful. Like Domenic and Snajpers said, never leave them un supervised. My friend had a male gsd and a male dob. They got into a fight over a ball. They were fine but seconds later got into a serious fight. The gsd ended up with a busted nose and the dob ended with a broken paw. So keep your eye on them!

If you are the pack leader, you will be OK. I keep females running around together with no problems and have had males do the same. They know better than to fight

It's great that the dogs get along.  Don't get stressed out about gloom and doom scenarios.  There are plenty of people with dogs of the same sex who don't try to kill each other and there are others who have to separate their dogs because they don't get along.  As long as you maintain a leadership role and don't let signs of dominance go unchecked, you'll likely be fine.  A lot depends on the personalties of each dog.  If you have two dominant dogs, then there will likely be sparks, but if the temperaments balance each other, then you'll have an easier time of it.

Excellent feedback from all.  Thanks!!!!!!!  My Shepherds know that I am the leader and all family members are above them in the pack.  They come in the house last....eat last.....and dont come to their bowl until I call for them individually. So far I have had no issues -- and hope it remains that way.  And yes, they have totally different temperments. Ozzy very athletic and eager to run all day ..... Yogi enjoys a big bowl of water and a good nap!  Yogi is learning from Ozzy when we do our daily training.  Once again......glad I am finally exploring this site.  There seems to be A LOT of knowledge and experiences here.  Thanks again!

According to my breeder, two females close in age can be the worst.

2 females can be the worst?  Sounds like human females

Females fight to kill no questions asked. :) It is like someone said "you are my bestfriend but I am going F8cking kill you" lol

When the younger male get's a little older 2-3 you might want to keep a closer eye on them.
