d, every feature I mentioned is already being worked on at Darpa and/or in actual planning or production. For at least 10 years the fbi has had remote controlled armed robots (built in shotgun, camera, phone, microphone and speaker) for attacking the enemy's position. They used one at ruby ridge after lon horiuchi(fbi sniper) murdered randy weaver's wife while she was holding her baby (shot her through the jaw and head, she was unarmed). Some of the new private prisons have similar robots now. More are coming. Almost all our surveillance satellites in orbit (as well as the russian ones) are powered by nuclear power packs and have been for many years. These have also been used in miniature form in our wars in the middle east in certain special operations. A couple of years ago there was a story in the news that our gov't was worried about a russian satellite not burning up copmpletely as it descended down out of orbit. The reason for the concern was they knew it had a nuclear power pack on board and thought it could create a public radiation hazard if the pack broke up and crashed in the USA over a large urban area (it didn't, it fully burned up). Discount it or insult me if you like (I really don't care but there is no need for that) but this stuff is real and unless things change it is coming to US urban areas within the next decade most likely. It offers any fascist regime a great deal of possible harassment and terrorism of the public is not used ethically or according to our Constitution or Bill of Rights.
Right now one of our aircraft manufacturers has produced a pilotless night fighter with black special radar absorbing skin that is superior to the F16 & even the FX22, it can outfly them, outfight them and turn with G forces that no pilot can take. This is operational right now as we speak. It can skip across the air and do strange turns and manuevers never before possible. It was described to me as able to fly in a state of controlled discontrol, barely stable, allowing lightning turns, but made stable enough to fly by many on board computers. It is controlled remotely at a counsel by a technician via satellite like the predators we have but it is a large full function supersonic fighter/interceptor with missiles.
We also have a plane with three forms of propulsion(rocket, ramjet and scramjet), that can take-off fly to moscow if necessary, deliver a guided payload, and return to its US base within a little about 90 minutes (it goes suborbital for most of the flight). It may have been "tested) in certain gulf battles already.
