Whilst toilet training I regularly have the crate in the bedroom - that way when the grizzle I can scoop them up and put them outside - even at 3am!
I have had dogs sleep in the bedroom - they have had their own beds in the corners of the bedroom, but they have usually ended up streched out beside the bed - especially my boy.
My dogs have also been allowed up for a good night cuddle but that is it, although they have been known to sneak up in the night when I have been unwell.
