As in any pack the older dogs will make a puppy be have, just as adults will. Just hope it isnt  a grandpa , as with people they can get mean in old age. I would be really careful with  temperment of the older male , dont asume because your happy he is ,the pup just like a kid thinks the big dogs are just teachers ,he has no idea that the male will take him out in a second, most dogs dont like puppies that arent there's and some dont like there own. Yellow Rose has good advise, be  a pack leader and tell male or female (who i whould trust less) who is in control. Watch the grown dogs body lanuage and prepare for the worst , leashes and 2 people, if it goes great , dont asume if you take your eyes off that it wont go bad,  as they are smart and just wait for you to turn your head. I dont let any dog, put its mother near my puppies until they are big enough to at least have a chance which means a new member of MY pack.  I hope for the best for you and your new pup but have seen how fast it can go bad if your not in control . Send pictures of pup  we all love that.,
