That dog was definitely worthy of the "good" rating that he got. Congratulations! I think that your bitch has also a very good chance of getting a "good" rating, if nothing changes.

That is my boy Rookie, the one I just sent you the link to his xrays.

Very nice pedigree.. Lots of working lines in there, Jeff Fläminds-Sand and Artus Westendhöhe, with some other interesting lines. I'd be interested to know how he produces, down the line a bit.
I'm not as hot on the Artus stuff as I am on the Jeff lines.. several lines descending from Jeff produced consistently good working dogs. Lord, Birko and some others, through bitches as well. The Artus can be very good, but can also be a bit nervous / shy / slow maturing. Some people tried to pile up on that line, but it didn't work. There's got to be somethng else there.. Burga Haus Himpel is best, but also Ingo and I think Jeff would be good. I did a 3-2 linebreeding on Artus and have semen frozen on a dog from that. He was nothing special himself, but with the right bitch, it could prove to be the ticket. Time will tell, if I ever get around to it. I don't know if I ever will, at this point. I'm thinking I will have a litter or two this comng year, for very specific reasons, but I don't know how many litters I will have after that. Depends on circumstances. I think it's something to do when you are young, or if you have money, or even just tremendous dedication.
Good job! Carry on!
p.s.. Interesting that your bitch has such a solid Gräfental foundation line. That's a very famous kennel!!
I don't hang out on this site often, so I don't know when I will revisit this thread. So, if I don't comment again, I am off doing something else.. Good luck!

Hi Kim,
I have those dogs in my pedigrees also, I have been getting some good ratings back lately from
ofa, I decided to ofa my 12 month old & check the box so the results are public,
than they will be posted on the ofa site.........if they are good..........
I am debating whether to re-xray at 2 yrs.
Has anybody ever had a good pre-limb turn dysplastic at age two?
I think your dog should get a good rating, those hips look nice.
I like the straight back stocky looking gsd's, and their temperaments are very stable,
no big surprises.
You have beautiful dogs!
I love seeing the relatives and I enjoy the DDR web-site, lots of info & history!
Enjoy!

Hi Paula,
It is nice to hear from you again. I have had technical difficulties with PDB for weeks and finally I can sign back on. It was driving me crazy..
Thanks for the compliments on my mutts. I too like the DDR look.
So you still have both of your females? I just pulled up your website and I only see the one? She is very pretty.. I like your male too.. Gotta love the blacks..

Hi Kim,
I bred Dana to Onyx, I am hoping for a black female, Onyx is not mine, but he is Bonnie Von Ryans half brother
Dana & Bonnie have the same mom, different sires, almost like breeding Bonnie with Dana, I know what I'm
getting. Onyx's mother is from the Grafental kennel.
I just came back from the assisted living, Theo visited today, alot of people came out and sat around and petted
him, he rolls over for them, and they can put their faces right up to his, he is sooooooooo gentle, I had the
best visit yet, Theo actually walks over to a person and leans on them and when they start to pet him he
freezes like a statue, not bad for being abused when he was a pup, I'm so glad he was brought back to me.
