I just got finished reading much of Steve's memories on his web site. The stories from Germany are hilarious! The pages about Rebecca had me in tears. We should alll be so lucky in life as to live a love story like Steve has.
How anyone could be so cruel as to write the slop contained in the mail message quoted above after reading what I just did is absolutely beyond me.

DO THE DOG WORLD A GREAT BIG FAVOR AND JOIN YOUR DEAD WIFE IN HELL...
The thing I dislike the most about this board is the cruel, heartless bastards that hang out here. Having lost my own husband to cancer, I understand a bit of what Steve has been through, and is still going through. You never finish grieving: the pain just gets less with time. There are times in the early stages of the grieving when the pain is so bad, you'd gladly consider a painless exit, to be free of it.
Kudos to Yellowrose for helping out. I wish the board had more like her!

If you read his webpages about his german shepherds, they were his Family . He was so devoted to each one of them, he was totally committed to his germans and his wife. Most people dont love that deep . Many people dont want to have another german, because they dont want the hurt and the pain of losing one.
Yr can move mountains, and red dirt , too. Maybe she will run for the governor of Florida.

Tads or what ever they were .

They were called chads, AhSighEE! And sorry, she can't run for governor of Florida, because she lives in the Lone Star state!
Haven' t you ever heard that song, AhSigh (Yellow Rose of Texas)?

Yes, Yellowrose is a very special person, wish the world had more like her around! I don't know Steve, but how cowardly can you get, to disrespect those who cannot defend themselves! I am one of those who loves deeply, as well; my husband, my family, my dogs, my work.....I respect all those who care for others in any context, even tho' opinions may differ. Yellowrose, you rock! And Steve, I'm sure you know to look higher than the low-lifes who post such BS, God Bless you! jackie harris

I agree it was a cowardly and extremely heartless cruel comment to make. That's just plain UGLY! I don't know Steve but I'm sure he's a big enough person to brush it off and consider the source. It's a no wonder people tend to relate better to 4 legged friends than 2 legged monsters.
I've gone to Steve's site and was very touched by the beautiful story about his life with his wife. She is gone but it's clear her memory lives on every day. Steve's alright in my book!
